I am after getting a new 19" monitor for general PC use plus a bit of simple pictures correction and a few old car driving games. I have come down to either the Viewsonic VP930 or Philips 190P7ES. I can find quite a few reviews of the Viewsonic which all say is a very good monitor with a very good picture but I cannot find any reviews of the Philips apart from the recent PCPro review. Does anyone have any comments or comparisons between these two monitors.

Never used either, but the Philips has better contrast ratio from the specs (1300:1). The Philips website says it has a USB hub and 2 DVI inputs (+VGA) too. Other specs look pretty similar, both 8 ms GTG with good viewing angles.

Dead thread maybe but I own the VP90 and love it as a TFT, it has some issues with backlight bleding but it isn't significant.

I love the 2 VGA and 1 DVI inputs though, and I use it as a secndary monitor coupled to my Macbook Pro
