Viewsonic VX2025 or Acer 2216WBD

Ok guys I really want to upgrade from my current 17" Viewsonic and cannot decide between these two LCD's. My rig can definately handle either of them as I am running a Opty 165 at 2.6Ghz with a 7900 GT.

The Viewsonic is nice but the thing I find annoying is it can't do 1:1 pixel mapping so everything gets stretched to fit the screen if you don't use the native res.

Im in the same boat... deciding upon a widescreen myself, however I have seen the VX2025 up close and it is one SEXY TFT!

Nope, however i've never really noticed a problem with stretching. Most Dell TFT's do 1:1 if that's your thing.

For what it's worth the VX2025 is a great monitor and a worthy 20" WS spec at that.

not through the hardware, but it can be done through software like NVidia's graphics drivers for example

have a vx2025 myself and i cannot reccomend it highly enough,i mainly play cod2,which looks amazing as for movies it has made my tv in my room redundant
