The viewing angles are dictated by the panel type (TN) and are no different to other monitors of the type. Some people just don't understand the principles behind this (i.e. people who complain about the viewing angles). It is a lot more popular over in America (ViewSonic in general is) so if you want some user opinions I would recommend looking at a popular rainforest shop in America.
It's not user opinions that have brought up the viewing angles its online reviews that seem to think that the VX2250WM-LED is very tight angles compared to other TN panels.
I assure you they are just looking at negative points that apply equally to other panels. I've tested the VX2450WM and it is very well-rounded. The colours are very nicely balanced and it is most likely that the 'shifts' that are exhibited here are just more noticeable. Every single TN panel the size of the VX2250WM exhibits colour shifting even if you are viewing the panel from directly infront. That's a fact, not opinion.
Who'd have thought it would take that long to release a 22 inch version of something that's already out there in 24 inches? Remind me of your uses for the monitor, your preferences for colour (i.e. vibrant/vivid vs. natural and accurate or a bit of both) and budget. I assume you have settled on the 22 inch size though.
Ah yes now I remember. I think the VX2250WM is the best choice for you at the moment. I wouldn't worry about those viewing angle complaints for the aforementioned reasons.
I need to decide by tomorrow as i don't wish to have a monitor sent to close to christmas and i can't wait for the BenQ 22" VA next year so it's looking like 99% for the ViewSonic.
