I just got the VX922 and it runs sweet, but i'd like to have my old CRT running at the same time. I can get it setup (Using ATI CCC) but it becomes an extended desktop. I would like to know if there's a way that i can get my monitors setup so that the 2nd monitor is a seperate view of the desktop, and my mouse only moves over when i press a specific key (or something similar)

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here, do you mean so that it is a clone? Or do you mean that it is a different desktop with different programs running and different START buttons, so that it appears to be a separate PC?

Yeh just worked out the clone thing, but, i would like to be able to run an application on my VX922 (Say CoD2) and have my CRT stay at desktop for stuff like MSN etc, and be able to swap which monitor i am controlling at the time.

You can't run a full screen game on one monitor and control what's hapenning on the other with the mouse. You would have to run the game in a window, or use keyboard shortcuts to control your other apps.

Edit. Is there a way to run the mouse across the screens mid-full screen app? Cus Alt-Tabbing kinda ruins the point of having two screens in this situation. Or, if i windowed my application, how do i stop the mouse running across the screens?

And also, what is the point of cloning the screen? I can't really see any advantages.

Cloning in certain situations will be useful, but not for what you use it for, therefore it doesn't like an advantage to you.

Shops could use it for display purposes or demo equiptment or even splitting the image up onto a projector above you while you work on the screen below. Many uses for it but yes for gaming it is useless i think :)
