long story short, wife inherited ~5k vinyls recently.
And now we're kinda stuck with what to do. Tried cataloging it myself which is just way too time consuming and it would also mean i'd have to sell it via ebay / discogs / record days. Quite frankly I don't even really have enough knowledge about vinyl to be selling it.

so that kind of leaves me with looking at auction houses, but their free structures just seem rather high across board anywhere from 10-25% sellers fee and 20-25% buyer fees.
Are there any other options I may have missed or forgotten

just the bowie stuff for added content :p

Plenty of resellers will buy them in one go I would imagine, a quick Google will give results, listing them in small bundles according to the artists would be much more profitable I would imagine but that would be a pain in the arse.
I would hazard a guess and say you have quite a substantial amount of money's worth there depending on the artists, you may have some quite rare/desirable records and it would definitely be worth spending some time researching what these are worth.

If I could do it myself i would, just don't have the time and really don't know what half of it is worth. Certainly have plenty of rare stuff in there + plenty of stuff that is still sealed as well.

Hi again, please do some research, if that is just the Bowie stuff you could be sitting on a potential goldmine, and if there are over 5 thousands records it would be definately worth your time to properly research, for example and I am by no means a vinyl expert but even one of those records could be worth hundereds of pounds so do the math, a reseller would probably think he has hit gold if you approached one and will lowball you accordingly.

If you don't want to spend the time researching and cataloguing each record, then I'd recommend getting in touch with a local Independent record store or re-seller, they'll give you better advice and be able to give you a fair valuation/price and won't have your pants down.

Unfortunately I'm up in the North East, so could only recommend people up this neck of the woods.

I sold mine when Vinyl started to make a comback. I sold a bit to early and cheaply. I wish I had waited now as prices seem much higher now.

I used ebay. But Vinyl collectors are fussy. I had a couple of rare ones that wernt mint and even though I said this I got neutral feedback, which I got removed.
