Looking to replace my kitchen floor which has damaged old vinyl floor with some new stuff.

The problem is the floor is freezing cold as its been laid on concrete floor, is it possible to get thermal insulation that will help? Not expecting much more than making it feel warmer.

Obviously the ultimate solution would be to batten the floor and insulate but this isn't possible at moment.

Cushion floor vinyl
or fibreboard underlay, maybe with a hardboard/plywood covering (this is the green hard felt type stuff)

There are also various types of foil insulation underlays.
