Vinyl to CD

Just discovered a huge collection of vinyl that belongs to my parents when we moved. They want me to copy it all onto CD and then store the original vinyl's away for safe keeping.

How do I go about recording from the vinyl onto a CD please

You what.... they are my vinyl's..... am not allowed to make a back up copy???

Not many people have vinyl players in there cars lol
