Violent video game maker forgiven

Not really what I'd call 'violent'.
All they care about is getting numbers into the church. If this has helped, violent or not, they won't mind.

How would you feel if Vivid Video used your mums bedroom to make a porno without telling you? Same difference.
Firstly: Manchester Cathedral is a public building, his mother's bedroom is not.

Secondly: It's not as if they went into the church and filmed a gunfight without any sort of planning or permission, they simply recreated the church in digital artwork.

No harm done to the church whatsoever, and it's not as if Sony (as much as I hate them) went out of their way to disrespect the church or victims of gun crime in Manchester. It's completely irrelevent.

I think that the church over-reacted, and while it's pretty noble of them to apologise about it, it's kind of hypocritical that they only did it because the issue gained them publicity (and now even more with this article.)

Exactly why they've made this public apology, simply to generate a new news article and more publicity for their cathedral. They're kind of shrewd at times, it's almost as if the church has become a corporation. :)

I'm not one to touch matters relating to religion much, mainly as I'm opinionated and not entirely clued up either, but as I've seen it, the Church has been a corporation for a long, long time.

haha, awesome.

this is a little bit like when the Major of New York complaining about the GTA4 being in Liberty City. And giving the city a bad name.

People just want to get something with their name on published. :p
