virgin activation

We had Virgin 20mb installed yesterday and I tried to activate it using the autoreg site and when that didnt work i tried the cd neither of these work they both give me the error "Your browser has issued a request that the registration server has denied."
but I can still connect to and use the Internet which is the strange part, does anyone know if not registering will effect my service in any way?

Are you connecting with the Virgin modem or using a different ISP?

connecting using the modem they provided me with yesterday through their cable service

Are you in a Telewest or NTL area? The autoreg site was only setup for NTL customers, always best to ring up and activate over the phone if you're unsure.

ah that could be the problem im ex telewest, do you know if il end up speaking to someone in india or the uk?

dam i hate trying to speak to indian call centers my voice isnt the best for having phone calls so everyone ends up confused

Which number would I need to call the normal CS or the Broadband problems line?

i think all it does is set your homepage to virgin, set dns servers manually and configures outlook express to your virgin email address.
