ok I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but,
I have set up my virgin email address with outlook express and I can send emails with it but whenever I open outlook express it asks me for my username and password (which I put in) but when I press enter it just brings me back to the username and password screen and doesn't let me log on. If I click cancel I get the error code '0x800CCC90' and some drivel about my password! The password is 100% correct!
Any ideas?
Cheers

username is correct. The other things you sugested are also correct!
the password is correct.
I can send a mail from outlook express using this account and receive it in my hotmail account!

ok guys thanks for all your help. I've now sorted it!
The problem was I was using one of my Blueyonder alias names as my username and after a little delving around found out it has to be the original username. Cheers folks!

lol
Right my next problem!
I'm setting up the virgin newsgroups in outlook express and followed the advice exactly. Whe I click on the "would you like to download a list of available newsgroups" I get this error
