Virgin media downstream power.

Just been looking and my upstream dBmV is off the charts.

Power Level 43.3 dBmV 44.3 dBmV N/A N/A

As far as im aware that should not really be anywhere near that high and should be closer to 12, 15 at max. I wonder if that is what is causing my issues. Of terrible stability around the house. I have had this issue in the past and contacted virgin media ( through a friend who worked there ) who got a support guy out who came in and installed a block on the back of the router.

However my problem seems to be back and virgin don't want anything to do with it.

Any ideas?

EDIT Sorry about title i for some reason wrote downstream and not upstream :D

are wired PC's fine with internet and just wireless devices that have the issue?

I have issues where wifi only devices keep loosing connection and to rule out the devices I set it to modem mode and use a netgear router and no more issues.

when speaking with virgin they told me "wifi is a feature that they don't support" and I have left it at that to be honest

Think between 31dbmv and 55dbmv is the recommended levels.

What's your downstream like?

My upstream sits around 34dbmv.
