Virgin Media HD Channels

No one can complain really its free to XL tv customers, and the best part is we will get the English Prem league in hd at no extra cost.
 
Aye its still poor but they are starting to switch off the old boxes and thats when more HD channels will come onto the network.

Want Eurosport HD now
 
Can't complain when it's no real extra cost, I wish I had Virgin Media but for some reason there's no digital coverage to my house apparently... Strange in an area which is almost fully saturated with cable.
 
If by hardly any more you mean 3 times as many..admittedly most of them are rubbish though :p

Any extra HD channels on Virgin is good news ofc, but Sky are still well ahead :p
 
No wonder I didn't know sky had all those. most of them are utterly pointless.

Apart from sky1 and Discovery. I think Virgin has everything useful from sky. Bar films and sports.

a lot of the sky ones are pointless as said the only reason you would get sky hd is if you subscribe to movies and sport, just a bonus we don't have to pay for espn hd and sky do ;)

We've got Eurosport HD but don't have Eurosport 1 and 2. The coverage on the HD channel is a mixture of the other two, so you're not guaranteed to get everything you want. It annoyed me when the figure skating world championships were on because the HD channel often missed the first 30 minutes.
 
I have Sky HD and only subscribe to Sky Sports 1. So not even the full sports package and no movies at all (movies suck anyway, just repeats all the time) and i still think HD is worth it.

Its personal opinion to say the other HD channels Sky have are rubbish or pointless, i think they are pretty good most of the time. Nat Geo Wild, Discovery, C&I, History, Sky1 and live performances on Sky Arts 1+2 are all great. Plus the now non exclusive ones like FX and C4 are really good too.

Good amount of channels plus HD for £39 a month.
 
Wait I'm a Virgin XL customer (well my Dad is...) - Does virgin have ESPN then? I've never noticed this? Just looked at the Virgin website and it doesn't say ESPN either, I am assuming this is something to do with the ESPN takeover of Setanta?
