Virgin media - how do i block paid stuff

How do I block all things like on demand movies without blocking the free ones like bbc iplayer? Is it possible?

I saw a thread about this on cable forum the other day.

The upshot was that you have two choices:

- Call CS and tell them to reduce your on demand credit to zero, the obvious problem being that when you want to watch something you'll need to call them up again.
- Set a PIN number, the problem being that some iPlayer programs will require the PIN to be entered.

There is currently no way to have multiple PIN numbers

If I ring cs and do it (reduce it to zero) will that stop it forever and still be able to view the free stuff? Thanks.

It will stop premium content but still allow iPlayer and any other free stuff, yes.

Hmm I rang through today and they said it wasn't possible on the V HD box or something along those lines....what exactly am I supposed to ask for?

You need to tell them that you want to reduce your premium on-demand content credit to zero, so that your kids can't spend loads of money but can still watch iPlayer. What did you tell them exactly? Did they say that it was possible on normal V boxes but not V HD :confused:

I said that I wanted to reduce my ondemand credit to zero so that I could not buy any chargeable content on my tv. He said that you could do it on standard boxes but not on V HD boxes?

Did he get it wrong?
