- The missis folks were recently talked into upgrading to a Hub3 by Virgin Media which worked fine for 3 months or so but recently shows signs of being borked.

- I need some gumpf I can phone their tech support with

- Basically, the problem started with the router stuck in a boot loop trying to do a firmware upgrade (completely by itself)

- I talked to her folks, and they said that VM 'did something down the line, and the white light came on the front, and they said it would be ok'

- Now, it seems to loose connection every 5 mins or so, then starts to work again, then loose connection.

- Weirdly, wifi works fine.

A lad on VM forums suggested I get CAT6 lan cable, because it could be that. Is that needed for 200Mbps ?

Thanks anyone who can think of a possible cause.

WIFI doesnt support 200mb, so you need to be connected via your Ethernet cable to achieve full speed irregardless. It does sound like your cable though tbh.
I also use "WIFI analyzer" free on the play store to check my wifi channel against my neighbours. If there both using the same one, them move it to a one which is clear.
