Virgin media is lagging need someone to tell me the right words to say to the indian

Hey well I just rang up virgin media curry hotline to get told that if my download speed is fine then it is not their fault that in every game I join on any server, even empty, I lag so badly I can't move on my 10mb connection. This is the same for if I don't use my router.

Now I have read on here before people said there is something that needs resetting server side. Can you knowledgeable people tell me what this is and I will ask to go straight to the manager and tell him what needs doing.

I also kept explaining to him that I have a friend who lives 2 minutes away who doesn't get this lag on the same internet on the same servers but he couldn't understand that. Possibly my modem is broken?

Dont say anything to the Indian go to here and talk to people who know what's what.
Are you sure its a problem with virgin and not your router etc? If your modem was broken you would be having other problems.

Well i've started talking to a techy and he's already told me that my powerlevel on my download is too high and an engineer needs to fix it. I knew thtere was a problem sever side! But the curry house told me I was wrong!

Also I've discovered I'm paying £25 for my internet for 10Mb and have been for 4 years and i'm disgusted they never lowered it when you can now get 50Mb for £28. So i'm going to try and get a discount and upgrade and that shoul;d fix it anyway.

Lol its a business and its virgin media what do you expect?
 
Business or not. I want to get a good deal so I'm going to make a deal out of it. I saw a forum post where serveral were paying £12.50 for the Large package with tv because they moaned enough.
