Virgin media is pure awesomeness !!!

tried, wont connect via 192.168.100.1 either. Reinstalled network drivers which also didnt work. Im stuck! never had this before.

On the Old Motorolla modem?
mine stopped responding to its IP a long time ago, BB worked fine but modem seemed to have "locked" got em to replace it with the little Scientific Atlantica one

I think I saw something about registering interest in a service which might influence them to lay cable, could be making this up though.

they used to do this, last time I can remember was when it was still telewest, get x amount of people in your area to sign up and they would cable the area if needed.
Have'nt seen any movement on this since VM took over tho and its a bit of a shame not everyone wants ADSL.

50MB is installed! 49.94Mbps on Virgin's speedtester and 6.1MB/sec when downloading the 500MB file. God I'm in love :D

Nice man

Use the bigger files for speed tests people :p
1Mb will be done to quick for the speed to balance I would think

My speedtest history from thinkbroadband.com

Speed capped

Turned off downloads but somehow still went 130Mb over the 3Gb evening traffic cap. Ping is still good so gaming should be uneffected.

£4bn of debt, struggling to refinance it, credit crunch and recession. It's unlikely anything would come of it.
Sky are doing very well during the recession so far. More people watching movies at home and using the Web. They should be fine.

The point wasn't about VM's long-term future, it was about their ability to invest being crippled by a legacy of debt.
