i just got my netbook today and i cant for the life of me connect to my wireless network. Its secure so i thought i was inputting the key incorrectly but i cant even connect even when i switch it to unsecure. Its driving me nuts. The netbook detects the network ok but it just will not connect either when its secure or unsecure.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Ok i already have a laptop connected to the wireless network and that works fine on secure or unsecure. The netbook is Virgin Media's Freedom Netbook. The router is a PEAK router and ive never had any problems with connecting to it that i cant normally sort out - ive had it for about 5yrs.

The problem it that it simply wont connect to the wireless network, attemps to try (secure or not)to connect but fails. i have no firewall on and i set it to unsecure for the purpose of testing without any problems - obviously things arent going as planned.

Sure you definatly have the right network? Its not one with the same name? Try changing it anyway as a test! I have a freedom netbook and it works no problem at all.

Ive sorted it - it was the MAC Address filtering "trusted stations" that was the problem. Even though i had added the MAC address it still didnt work so i disabled it and straight on with no problems.

Everything is up and running as it should be, thanks for the suggestions :)
