normally wouldn't make a thread like this, but it's been doing my head in all day :(.

started at about 8 am and i've only been able to get online twice since then.

it's not a problem with my modem or router, both seem to be functioning as usual and its not a problem with the software i use to connect (i have the AOL software installed, long story, don't ask) as the manual dialer i use is not working either, i can only assume something is up with virgin (as they provide my internet through AOL, complicated i know).

anyone know if they've been suffering from any problems today?

Perfectly smooth here in the West Mids.

Left a torrent downloading when I went to work this morning, and it was still chugging away nicely when I came home. Been on WoW for most of the evening, and no probs there either.

:)

TV and Internet was down most of the day today, which is very unusual, working like normal now though

what area do you live in? i'm down south, brighton as my info suggests.

and thanks for some responses guys.

my internet seems to be running fine atm, but i daren't sign off to check just in case i can't get back online :p:rolleyes:

London area seems to suffer problems. My friend just went offline twice, then havent came back on since.

Your area had some upgrades done today :)

my broadband is pretty much completely useless **** about 50% of the time... somehow virigin are even worse than ntl, you would have hoped with a new name some of the old problems would go away but instead they just add more problems

I had some upgrades of some sort done last week. service was flaky and when I rang virgin I was told to "Take PC to PC shop" those technical service bods are useless and the moment customer service hear your having problems they put you onto flow chart reading people in god knows what country.

Understand your frustration with the CS but they are all based in Birmingham!! Next time you speak to them ask to be promoted to Level 2 Tech Support, thats who I speak to and those guys are good.
