Greetings,

Apolgies if you work for Virgin Media but there staff are useless.

I have moved house and had new services installed however they are now chraging me a £5 none direct debit charge even after paying the bill by direct debit with them for the past 15 months and I now can't get rid of the charge until I've payed it! I mean WTF are they on about?

Anyway my main thing for writing this post is to try and find out how to get a better offer. Currently we have the two for twenty quid offer. However I would like better broadband and Sky Sports but the cheapest thing I can find for that is £85 (rip-off city) how the heck did some of you guys get the offers you got?

Any advice welcomed!

I had mine upgraded by calling up and talking nicely to the call centre staff :) I had that £5 added as well by the way, but I explained I had been / would be paying by DD, so they requested I paid it and it would be taken off my next bill, which is was. :)
 
Sky with sky sports package is something like £40 now. Virgin Media broadband for £25.

Totals £65 unless my maths is lacking....
 
They did say that they would take it off after I'd paid it in all fairness - I just don't get why they added it when I had been paying by DD.

How did people get there special rates? I've seen people having all the channels, XL broadband, etc. for stupid prices in these forums!

Well I'm a student, so I get money off...apparently.

I'd just phone them up and ask how much it is to include the Sports package.

Call them up and threaten to leave for Sky, be polite and explain you can get the same thing cheaper elsewhere. Generally they'll give you a nice deal.
