Hi,

does anyone know of a router which has a sim card slot for automatic failover to 4G, and is fast enough to act as a VPN client for all the devices which are connected to it please?

cheers, can I assume i'd want one of these two on the right? i.e the ones which don't say ADSL or ADSL2?

I do like DrayTek routers, mainly for their flexibility and reliability, but they do tend to be underpowered.

DrayTek only claim 60Mbps for the VPN on the 2862 under ideal conditions.

No you'd want this one:

Vigor 2862Lac
thanks. Any idea if there is anything slightly cheaper on the market please?

didn't have any idea they'd be that expensive, but do know how good Draytek are. I would be tempted to build a PFsense rig and put my VM superhub 3 into modem mode for that money.

Synology RT2600AC will do it with a 4G USB dongle, it also has decent VPN performance.

There is also the cheaper Draytek 2762AC that will work with a 4G USB dongle.

now you're talking, thank you!

What would you pick over that or a TP link AC1750 (Archer C7) flashed with DD-WRT?
