Hello,
Can't find much on "virgin media stream" on here, anyone have any experience of it?
I'm tempted as it seems very portable (around the house), anyone know if you can take the box out of the house, connect to any WiFi and watch?
Thanks,
Edit, just read the below (reddit), although don't believe all (any?) of it as the person is not getting Sky Sport and TNT for £26.75 a month...the "tied to your IP address" is believable though...anyone confirm?
PROS
Simple interface but its customisable. If you create a profile, you can hide/delete all the channels you have no interest in. I just have BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CH4, CH5 and TNT Sports. I am adding Sky Sports once my Sky TV deal runs out next month. Then I have everything I need for £26.75 a month!
10% off all the streaming services is handy. I think its the cheapest (legal) way to get Netflix if I am not mistaken. Interested to hear if anyone else has an alternative.
CONS
You can only have 1 box and it has to be in your own home (ie it's tied to your IP address). There is also a slight delay on the stream so you could get a goal alert on your phone and several seconds later, you will see it on the TV. That could be a benefit to some or you can just disable notifications on your phone if it annoys you.
It takes a bit of getting used to streaming everything only. ie No hard drive but you get over it.
Hope this is useful.
