Is it worth going for Virgin, regarding the recent buy out news?

I assume they simply won't pull the plug on the whole network? Am tempted by their package in all honesty.

No one is going to invest multi-billions of pounds in a business just to pull the plug on it. This isn't like buying something from a closing down sale on the high street, it's private equity firms seeing an investment opportunity because VM is undervalued.

Ive had great service with blueyonder for MANY years, and have had flawless service when it switch to blueyonder:ntl, and now its virgin media i still have no problems at all.

My only concern is if the buyout will change things, and also if the buyout is because virgin media is possibly cheaper to buy now then it would have been earlier, loosing customers due to lack of sky chans, and the virgin media advert started off with uma thurman, now they are down to ruby wax shows that virgin media cant be doing too great on the financial/buisness side of things, even though the service is great.

Cheers guys, the total package is a lot cheaper than getting a land line, and an ADSL service, and the exchange I am on is saturated with student users, and the wiring in this house is quite old.

I'll go for Virgin, see what happens :)

Ok, rang up and got :

XL Broadband; L Television; L Phone package for £41 a month and £15 installation.

Not too bad, shared amongst three people :)

i was worried about going with virgin hearing all the stories made me feel a little dubious about it. but i have to say i've been nothing but impressed so far

So will this buyout effect the special deal Virgin gave me which they said was forever? I get Broardband XL and the phoneline for £27 a month!

I wish virgin would stick cable up my street, must be about the only 1 around in my town that cant get it!!

Are virgin still adding new areas?
