To replace with nothing.

They have had very bad feedback from customers and shareholders over the STM fiasco and as they are now moving away from TV, completely focussing on BB and want to deliver high speeds, STM is not going to be an option.

It has already been confirmed the 50mbit and 100mbit packages will not have any form of STM applied.

Bit optimistic for 100mb surely? Also, I doubt the prices are going to be affordable for most of us...

i mean for STM removal.

50mbit and 100mbit are Summer (3rd quarter) 2008 with city by city rollout and implementation of docsis3.

Upload is only 1.5mbit on 50mbit tho...
