Hello,
I'm about to move to a place that has full Virgin and am very tempted to go 1Gig (big jump from the ~60mb I have now)

I've been offered the below for the full package:

Ultimate Vol (form online chat)
£79/month on an 18 month contract with one time activation fee of £35.00. This is (apparently) an exclusive offer that isn’t available on the website.

Although I might just get Bband only:

£60 - 1Gig
or might slum it with (money saving export link)
£33 - 516mb :D

Anyone know if any of the above can be currently beaten?

I've gone for the Ultimate, I have read if you cancel the O2 SIM within 14 days Virgin don't know and you end up with Ultimate Virgin for £56...not sure if it's true, or if its worth the risk but the bills are separate and the two companies are terrible at talking to each other... Anyone tried cancelling the Volt part of the deal?

Hello,

Has anyone cancelled the Volt (O2) part without it effecting the Virgin part?

@Captain

Pretty sure it's without a phone, does it matter if it comes with or without a phone, I'm sure most on here would have a mobile? (genuine question, not sure if I'm missing something)

Cheers,

Currently got Ultimate for £79, still within the 2 weeks cancel period...this decision is giving me sleepless nights!
(main problem is I'm renting and may move to a area without Virgin within the 18 month period...)

A quirk for existing customers (or people at the bottom of the customer pile of special offers)
I had Virgin 400mb and wanted to cancel it. I'd had 18 months and was about half way through a (renewed) on-going contract for another 18 months.
They allowed me to cancel that contract @ nearly 60.00 p/month and moved me to a Virgin Business at Home deal and the exact same 400mb line went down to 27.00/ month.
I only mention it on the off chance someone may read it and be in a similar - half way thru a renewed contract - type situation.
My experience has been that Virgin can be 'haggled with'

Was that on line or on the phone?

did you go through retentions or call the business side directly?

They actually called me funnily enough after I had grumbled and said I was going to quit the contract as soon as I could do so.
But I imagine that if you called them, they could help.
They said they would convert my existing contract from IP Phone & 400mb fibre to 400mb standalone (no phone) business fibre and that would save me around 30.00/month.
I get a paper statement/bill once a month - I could have a looksee what the exact details of this contract are if that would help anyone.
Sorry if I wasn't more specific in the earlier post :)

well, i talked to VM and they agreed to waiver the cancellation fee for my home bundle if i got the voom 400, so i ordered that. Will go from 46 to 33 (but first 6 months half price).
Supposed to come today, and yodel are supposed to text me when its being delivered, but they haven't of course.
