My Virgin internet gets installed today, I'm moving from adsl (Asus DSL-N55U). What do Virgin provide and are they any good i.e is it worth replacing for the cable variant of my router ?

Superhub isn't bad. At least it has 4 gigabit ports. No need to change if you're happy with it.

I do like my DSL-N55U after having major issues with my Linksys, I've only had it about 4 month. I could sell and replace with the N56U if I don't get on with it.

Router is fine, wireless should be ok, It used to have a LOAD of problems, which is why everyone hates it. Much like Vista, it used to have problems in the beta release, so everyone hated it even when they were fixed.

I have never used the wireless, preferring a standalone which I already had!

If it does it's job then i'll probably just keep it, sell the ADSL router and pocket the cash :)

Do Virgin do line testing like BT with ADSL or will it stay this good ?

I've got a problem with the wireless, first time I tried to connect to it, it connected locally but I couldn't open a web page although I could ping the web.

Now it just keeps saying Windows unable to connect.

The wireless is enabled
SSID1 enabled and broadcasting
Wireless frequency 2.4ghz
wireless mode 54mbps
Channel auto
mac filtering allows all devices
WPS disabled
Security mode WPA-PSK AES

I've tried disabling the security altogether but it still won't connect. The laptop is an Acer Aspire 5736Z
