Virgin Superhub in Modem mode but still broadcasting wireless?

Hello everyone,

I recently put my superhub in modem mode, which seemed to work given the colour of the light on the superhub, the ip and it seemed to save on the internal management page. So I am now getting wireless through a different router.

However, it seems my superhub is still broadcasting a wifi signal, is there any way to ensure this is stopped? It's a bit annoying as devices attempt to connect to it as it's what they previously used. I've changed what I need but its a bit of an annoyance its broadcasting a wifi signal when it shouldn't.

Anyone experienced this?

Sure it's not a neighbour with virgin as well?

nope definitely not, its the SSID printed on the back of the superhub

Thanks I will definitely try this if it becomes a problem again. I switched it back to router mode and back to modem mode with a few reboots in between. Seems to have sorted it for now thankfully
