Hi All,

I have recently upgraded from 50mb to 60mb Broadband with virgin.

In order to get the higher speed Virgin upgraded my modem to a superhub (which has the switch built in instead of linking to a seperate switch/router via ethernet).

Issue with this superhub is that when it receives excessive data it crashes, stops working and then auto resets causing about 4 mins of non-connectivity.

An example of this is when I was downloading Diablo3. It got about 1/3 of the way and stopped.

I read that a lot of people are having this issue, with this game, with this router.

So, to fix it I have disabled the switching on the superhub so its just a modem. I have then linked it directly to a d-link dir-615 router into the internet port.

All in all, Unless you HAVE to upgrade to the virgin superhub. Hold fire until a new revision or model is released.

Hope this helps!

Not having any issues with mine, got installed 2 weeks ago. Couldn't move back to my d-link as the virgin engineer stole it after blagging to my wife that it belonged to Virgin and she believed him!

Heh, the "engineer" that put in our Superhub thankfully only tried to take the old modem. Before he came, Virgin Media sent me another router as well as I said I was having problems, so 2 spare routers.

As for the Superhub, the only problem I've heard of is with the wireless, which I rarely use.

my superhub is fine apart from teh wireless as longbow says its a known issue, have ordered an Asus rt56 so hopefully flaky wireless will now be a thing of the past

I tried the superhub for a week after using a Dlink 615 with DD-WRT installed and found it horrid. Bought myself a Asus RT-N56U last week and it works great, couple of things if you do buy one. Under the EZ-QOS settings make sure 'Internet' is clicked and manually set the upload to the correct figure in the same screen.
