Virgin Superhub resetting when downloading from Steam

Howday folks,

Hard to find anything about this specific issue.

I can download from Usenets with no problem, maxing out my 100Mb connection and getting around 10MB/s.

I can also download torrents at this speed as well as regular files (assuming I find a good server).

However, when I connect to Steam and download games (something I've been doing a lot of since I just built a new PC) things start coming down at around 6MB/s but only for about 30 seconds -then the Superhub resets itself!

Steam will pick up the internet connection again after the Superhub has restarted after about 2 minutes or so but then promptly the Superhub will reset.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers,
Roy

Never had that issue myself, only thing I can suggest is post a thread on the official VM forums http://community.virginmedia.com/ and see there if anyone else has that issue and after a while a VM engineer should read your thread (they read all support threads) and if it's something wrong with your superhub perhaps they can fix it or arrange a replacement.

Cheers Dist, have done now.

Just looking through the new firmware that's been released I now see that you can set it as Modem only - which is kewl!

Might did out the old faithful Cisco router! :D

It really does solve all problems that superhubs have :)
