Virgin SuperHub - Wireless Configuration

Hi,

I'm using the SuperHub from Virgin which has a PC connected via Cat5 and two laptops via WiFi.

Currently the speed of the laptops is 144 Mbps. Both laptops are using NetGear USB WiFi dongles certified to 'N'. To try and get them to run at a higher speed do I just need to change the '802.11N Band' from 2.4 Ghz to 5?

Both 2.4 and 5GHz can run at the 300 speed, if it's not connecting at N speeds then you might want to check to make sure it's set to go up to 300 and that your N card's drivers are up to date.

Also the speed will drop as soon as you're more than a metre away
