I've been having problems with my Superhub for a while now. The only way I can get it to work for any length of time, is to disable ip flood detection, and the firewall (virgin recommends).

Is disabling the Firewall safe enough?

I had lots of problems with my Superhub and they gave me the same speil. I finally rang their tech service and told their rep that I had tried all the turning it off and on, changing channels, band etc and that I wanted either an engineer to call or for them to send a new hub. They chose the latter which duly arrived within a week and once setup has worked well ever since furthermore it has since updated itself to firmware R30. My advice would be to ring them and don't take no for an answer. If they try to fob you off ask to be put through to retensions and tell them you will leave unless it is sorted out.

Yeah I'm using the R30 firmware, so I think I'm going to get back on the phone about a replacement. I don't think I should have to pay for another router when I paid for this piece of crap in the first place.

Thanks for your replies guys :)
