I was offered £37 for this package last week from retentions as my contract is finishing. I refused and I’m waiting for them to hopefully call me with a better offer. How much are you supposed to pay with this £3.05 on top they offered you?

It's annoying that they give very little information, it's like they want you to chase after them for information so they can see what else they can sell you.

Nope. What they've offered me is terrible deal as I have no other options where I live (very far from fttc cabinet, no gfast, no fttp, no 5g) and they know it.

Every deal I've been offered the monthly price goes up. And I'm already paying £50 for 200mb.

They’re doing it to lock you into another contract, so that you can’t leave when they up prices next April, and you’ll pay even more :-)

I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure i read something about being tied into a 18month contract which is pretty ridiculous.

They’re all cheeky. When my mum moved house with 1 month left on BT, they put her on a new contract for 24 months :/

That's disgraceful.

I'm paying £42 a month for 500mb fibre and a VoIP telephone line.

I hear that from some of those outer London areas, Watford, Borehamwood, Hatfield etc.

Infrastructure was put in, in the 80's, maybe 90's and was good then but it awful by today's standards.

I remember my mate having cable TV back in the day etc

Shame on Virgin for exploiting that though.

I contacted them to request a cheaper package (paying £63/pm for 350Mb), they offered me 500Mb for an extra £3.5/pm.
I told them i did not need faster, I needed cheaper, they then offered me 1Gb for an extra £3.5/pm, I told them to stick it.

Unless things have changed, when they announce a price increase which is classed as a change in agreement the customer has the option to exit the contract without incurring any penalties.

Every time they hike the price I phone them up, say I'm jumping ship because Sky has offered me unicorn steak for free.
The price get dropped and my speed increases.
