my neigbour has had problems with is internet so an engineer was called out but since he visited the box in the street i now have problems connecting up to my internet my upstream and downstream have changled so he must have moved the neigbours cable to where my cable was in the box and moved mine up or down the box to which messed up my connection.
So rang up to complain and was told a few weeks before the engineer could come to check whats happened but i already figured out what hes done.
So anyway engineer arrived yesterday and now tells me he has no idea which is my cable as he cant see any cable with my address on it so he says they will have to replace my cable now but surely they must have other ways to
trace which cable goes to my house?
I met up with the engineer who firstly made the mistake of moving my cable but he denied it was him even when on the day he visited my neigbour i said morning to him as i walked past him.
I dont know how they pick there workers but which ever way it is its not good.

Someone I know tried to move from BT to Virgin. After some two weeks and four or five visits by still very wet behind the ears Virgin "engineers" he insisted that they sent out someone who knew what he was doing. The "expert" identified that the "modem" still had the default factory settings :D

He is now back with BT.

Just call up again and get them to send someone else out. If he cant find the cable he should be getting someone to come over and help him find it or passing it over to someone else.... Not arranging a new cable.

Also call up to make sure he has booked on a cable just incase. Even if he has given you a date already just double check it.

Another thing to note is, just because your power levels have changed doesn't mean that the guy moved your cable. If the cable has been installed a while it could be that whilst messing in the cab the it could have disturbed the connector on the end of the cable. Some of the really old type connectors are subject to failing in this way

Call them again and say.

You-Hello is that the high chaparral?
VM-No this is virgin media
You-Oh ..OK..well you sent a couple of cowboys out to me the other day :)

I suggest you stop the grammar police because typos can be made, just move on. I'm using my phone and auto correct can be a pain.

Just play nice, or don't play at all.

I don't think that means what you think it means.

A feeling of intense insecurity, inferiority or not measuring up or negative and useless reactions to problems in life.

Reactions are useless because they do not solve the problem at hand, but only serve to guard one's self-esteem.

A grammer nazi :)

Edit=didnt see your post Ace...

Bro, I'm sorry but it's Grammar, not Grammer :(

On-Topic:

You should just go to the box yourself and switch the cables for the engineer :)
