Virtu question?

I have a z68 xp ud4 mobo and gtx 580 graphics card.
The mobo has an HDMI port in order to take advantage of the onboard HD3000 graphics. If my understanding is right this will give me HD (1920x1080) resolution as its an HD port? Now, the GTX 580 has DVI - D and can give me better than HD resolution, which is what im using now - 2560x1600.
what i want to know is when i connect my monitor (dell u3011) to the onboard hdmi port to take advantage of virtu will i lose my 2560x1600 for everything or will the lucid/virtu software allow me that resolution?

Thanks

It's limited by what the port can actually handle, so no, that HDMI port will only do 1920x1080 (Unless it's 1.4, then the max is 2160p).

HDMI and DVI are the same, one can be rearranged to become the other. Only difference is HDMI can carry sound. So best to stick with the DVI port.
