Virtua Tennis 2009

Hey all,

Well my copy arrived yesterday but yet to play it, I was wondering if any one here had the chance to play it yet if so what are your personal views of it etc?

And if any one wants any games i should be on XBL tonight so let me know. Though i wont be very good

I was disappointed. There didn't seem to be anything to distinguish it from other recent tennis games, certainly no obvious new features.

Still plays well, just hasn't moved on in any way.

Is it similar to Virtua Tennis back on the Dreamcast? If so, I might pick it up. Shame there isn't a demo

Its £34.99 at a local superMarket, considering it, but no IGN or gamespot review yet, which is always a little worrying.

as everyone else as mentioned, its just all a bit Meh!, plays OK, looks OK, but its just dull.

I like tennis games but after a while it just feels like i'm playing pong

eurogamer gives this 7/10 and basically said its more of the same from VT3 which is why its VT 2009 and not VT4.

looks good and seens as i haven't played it since VT2 on dreamcast, am probably gonna pick it up. much preferred VT to Topspin.

This game pretty much is a rebranded Virtua Tennis 3 with some slight new touches (The new mini-games are very nice though!). Other than that, it looks almost the same and plays just like a Virtua Tennis game, simple and easy. So if you missed out on the 3rd game, then you could easily pick this one up instead.

A proper Virtua Tennis 4 would be done in-house by SEGA themselves as this one was done by Sumo Digital.
