Virtua tennis 3 ps3 HD

I'd like to see some direct shots in 1920x1080, but from the small shots it does look pretty impressive. I'll hold my opinion til I see it playing in front of me in a shop first though, as watching it on a TV or internet feed at <25fps isn't going to give a good representation of how a 1080p 60fps game will look.

Doesn't look any different to how I would expect it to look. I'm not going to rush out and go "Oh WOW!" because it's nothing special.

I just can't see the appeal of spending £40 and playing tennis on a tv when I could go into the back garden and play it for real.

Most people don't have a full size tennis court in their back garden.

Who said I had no interest?

Anyway more to the point, I don't think tennis games represent how an average game will look with all the extra processing power they require.

Do you see the appeal of catching a train to ...say London when you could easily do the 300miles via walking or jogging? :p

What are you saying.. Tennis games require extra processing power because of the physics or normal games because of the physics?

Remember, Table Tennis from Rockstar has proper clothes for the people, so while you may go "gah, table tennis.." the machine is still doing a lot to render the clothes properly etc.

In theory Tennis games, and other minor sporting games, should have the BEST image quality really, as they only really need to worry about 2 or 4 characters and a little round ball, wheras some big ass action game needs to worry about a hell of a lot more stuff and still run well. But not everyone would go out and spend £40 on a game like that. I only bought Table Tennis as it was great fun, and was <£20, if it was an more expensive, I wouldnt' have bothered.
