Virtual Box and Virtual PC 2007

Hello,
I ahve been using Virtual PC with no problems and XP and others machines work speedily and no problems. I couldn;t get Ubuntu to work thoguh so i tried Virtualbox whcih works with Ubuntu but wasn;t able to install the guest additions. Can soemone help with how to do that? Also I set up an xp virtual box and it keeps saying it's out of memory. I only had virtual box open ad no other programs on the host and on virtual pc 2007 and xp box was great and fast and worked fine. Any suggestions? I would like to know how to get Ubuntu to work in Virtual PC 2007.

You might be better off posting in the opensource forum.

Virtual PC 2007 is pap. Use VMware Server, which is also free.

The things is why VMware server? I donlt want to make a server?

VMware server is simply a virtualisation product. Is has nothing to do with 'running a server' in the way you think it does. In basic terms, its like Virtual PC 2007 but much much better.
