Virtual Box shared folder.

Ive specified a directory on my data drive so that i can install a few things on a virtual machin, however the vshard folder isnt visible in the guest computers 'my computer'

Am i missing something simple?

What software?

You should be able to Map a drive to a data area rather easily in any Virtualisation software.

If you actually want to use true network Shares then your Guest and Host will need to be configured on the same subnet.

 

[Confused]

On the Guest (assuming Windows) "Explore" your computer (right-click Start Menu), then click the + next to My Network Places/Network, then the + next to Entire Network, then you'll see a VirtualBox option - click the + next to that.

If at any time you click on the item itself, not the +, it seems to mess up, and you have to close and start again.

That's one bit of VirtualBox that isn't as good as VirtualPC - where you can simply drag/drop either way!
