VIrtual Console - Super Probotector and Street Fighter II

Swines! I've just bought Super Castlevania with the points I'd set aside for the AWOL Super Probotector. Now I'm going to have to buy another 1000 to get these two beauties :mad: :D
 
I played SFII for over an hour straight as soon as I bought it. The missus and her bro couldn't believe I could remember everyone's moves even after 15 years (15 years - Jesus Christ! :eek: ). Gave Super Probotector a quick blast, but it felt wrong without my bro here to play Co-op.

LOL yeah, I was telling the missus' bro that I used to beat people by getting them on the wrong side of the screen! :)

BTW; I think it sounded like my bro isn't alive - he is, I just don't live with him anymore! Sorry for any confusion, he's alive and well! :D

Don't laugh!

I just got this and found that I can't do any moves properly on the right side of the screen :(

However I can pull off moves that I couldn't do the first time round so its all good.

It doesn't take long at all to learn the special moves (especially if 8 of the characters are missing).
 
I think I'll wait till I've finished R-Type before I get these two. Probably not going to finish gunstar heroes too soon though, that 2nd level with the 7 bosses is a nightmare! :(
 
I feel like getting a Wii just for the VC. It sounds awesome. Oh, and Zelda of course ;)

R-Type. Love that game. I could probably emulate it on my Laptop or something, but it's just not the same!

Xbox Live Arcade has so much potential, but I think its a bit rubbish at the moment. It could do with games like R-Type. There hasn't really been a "must buy" game for me yet. Though I've wasted plenty of money on stuff I don't play!

R-Type isn't co-op. Super Probotector is, or at least it was in the original game, I'm guessing the VC version will be. Either way I'll be getting it this weekend :D

Playing these old games shows how much more challenging they used to be. I've been playing R-Type for about 2 weeks and I've only just managed to reach level 6! Very satisfying though, and the music is some of the best you'll find in a videogame.
