can anyone recommened a virtual drive for vista 64 bit apart from daemon tools,i used to use slysoft virtual drive but its not 64 bit compatiable

Many Thanks in advance

there's also alcohol 52%, i think there's a freeware version..

it's a shame there's no virtualclonedrive 64 yet, i'd happily pay about £10 for it

Why not daemon tools out of interest?

The pro version lets you emulate IDE and SCSI drives

I've always found it works flawlessly

indeed. virtual clone drive is the only piece of software i had that didn't work when i switched to x64. i nearly cried. :( :p

now using daemon tools. you just have to make sure you de-select their ad crap when running the installer. :)

plus you can't right click the drive in explorer to mount, you need their software running to do it :/

True, but you can just mount from the system tray icon. And the software stores all the images for easy re-mounting (although dont really use that feature myself very much)

I think less junk integrating in the shell is a good thing.

daemon tools puts far more crap into the shell, with vcd, it's just 1x right click menu on the virtual drive itself, no menus on the image files, just clean

and the only things i want in my system tray are steam, 'safely remove hardware' and the clock :)
