Virtual Dub not de-interlacing the videos properly.

I have a recorded tv program, interlaced and in the divx settings I tell it to de-interlace the source but it never does it properly, there are still interlacing lines, when I add the deinterlacing filter for bob+weave deinterlacing it still doesnt do it. But using vlc to do bob deinterlacing while watching the video works fine.
