I am currently running a dual boot setup XP 32 bit and Vista 64 bit, but can't find any software that will act as a virtual machine with the OS's already installed.

As far as I understand the VM works by virtually allocating an area of the harddrive for a clean installation of the OS, but I don't want to have to reinstall either OS and it would make sense for there to be software that does what I am asking.

So, does anyone know any software where I can point it to Vista partition and XP Partitions seperately so I can run XP in Vista or vice versa?

Just realised that you said you don't want to have to reinstall the OS and of course you would need to reinstall the 'new' OS onto the Virtual machine's drive and would need a license. It wouldn't affect either of your existing 2 partitions though. Maybe I have mis-read what you want to do?

The converter seems to fail every time I run it, might bite the bullet and just reinstall XP, think I screwed it up a bit by trying to change it into a MCE version anyway.
