My mates PC comes up saying that he is running out of virtual memory! Is that because he only has 256mb of ram?

He is running XP with 256mb ram! I guess that is too low?

He has tons of hard drive space. He does run lots of apps. Will adding more ram solve the issue? He was thinking of putting 2 gig in it.
