hi Peoples. Just looking for a bit of info, What is the purpose of runing virtual pc on a computer. the guy i work with has been nattering on about i for weeks hes runing xp on virtual and vista on his normal settings what are the advantages of this

At work I have Server 2008 x64 as my host machine with all the deployment/management tools I need on it e.g. exchange, ad, etc.

I have a XP Pro virtual machine for using like a staff e.g. office.

Using VMWare Server 1.0.7.

I use it to run a Win 2003 instance to test backups from our live servers, and similarly a RHEL one to test the Linux backups.
