I have downloaded and installed some software from my university that'll (it says) allow me to browse the internet off campus, as if I was on campus. This then allows me to browse e.g. journal websites with full internet library access at home. I however can't get this process to work :(

I have downloaded and installed a piece of software called "cisco systems VPN client" and it appears to be running well. However when I use opera and point it to my journal websites, they ask me for my password and username, which 1) I don't have, and 2) I have never had to use before because the library computers used to log me straight through. Does anybody have any ideas about how to fix this?

difficult to say, possibly the same username and password as your computer login at uni, or the same as the vpn credentials? Otherwise have a look on your uni website for some kind of help? Or ask the helpdesk when you go in next.

Sorry I've just been trying to get it to work all day, I'm a bit tired that's all.
