Virtual Router Plus Losing Settings

I have just installed Virtual Router Plus on my pc in the office in my garage which is connected to the internet through a homeplug, so that now I can use my laptop as well if needed as the wifi signal there is very weak.
It worked perfectly first time, but the problem is that it doesnt keep your password or SSID name after a reboot etc, is there a way of doing this

Why not just buy a wifi homeplug or a wifi access point ?

Already using a home plug for my pc and only use my laptop in my office on the odd occassion, so its not worth the cost and this programme works perfectly apart from having to enter my login details each time I start it, but I can live with that if there is no solution, especially as its Free.
Didn't realise you could get wireless home plugs, perhaps when mine need replacing I might get some
