Virtual Tennis 3 lag

My pc is pretty powerfull (geforce 8800) but still sometimes during gameplay there is a weird lag. I think it happens when i move closer to the net and the camera moves. It happens regardless of what resolution I play etc. Any idea if this is a bug or something else?

I have exactly the same problem with my rig (conroe/8800GTX).
I even tried turning all AA off and res right down to 800x600 iirc and still had the lag problem.
It seems to be related to when the AI calculates the next shot.
I can't remember if VT3 is multi core aware, but you might try forcing the affinity to a particular core (if you have multi-core that is!). Although I'm sure I tried this to no avail.
In the end I just played the game accepting the lag.
Crappy unoptimised port ? Maybe, but Sumo normally do a good job with conversions....

Not sure but I'm running VT3 on a worse rig than yours and it runs fine maxed out.

How does one actually vary their shots in this game anyway?? It says in the manuals that there are a large variety of possible shots, but not for me. It just seems to be lob or hit normally.

Anyway back on topic - it's a strange one; try changing the camera angle of playing and see if it still does it?

From what i remember its just positioning, timing and the angle of your joystick button. So pulling the joystick down in a good position plays a dump shot. Things like that but remember positioning and timing

Yes I agree with carlazai. Positiong and timing is VERY important if you want to achieve good shots.

Guys,

I beat duke and now I can choose him as a player. Every time i get to the final i always meet Duke and never the King. Any idea how can I meet the king?

After beating Duke 3 times then the King appeared as the last challenger.

Running it fine with my 8800gts. But 1 stupid problem I have is that I have a widescreen 22" Samsung monitor, but I cant get the game to play in widescreen. Have tried locating that option, but just can't find it, and the black bars on the side of the game look stupid

The option you want is on the VT3 configuration under programs. Have tried it and it works fine. Have found no way to get rid of the lag though.
