Virtual XP + Active Sync

Looking at installed Ubuntu 7.10 or 8.04, need to know if I install them, then create a virtual XP box, can I use Office 2007, ActiveSycn, MSN through it?

Cheers guys, looks like I will be trying with Fedora since 8.04 still has the black boot screen bug in it for me.
