Virtualbox question WRT snapshots

I have XP running in Virtual box and have two virtual drives, one for the OS and one for "storage". Now I took a snapshot soon after installing the OS but before creating the storage virtual drive. All my needed data is on the storage drive and I was wondering if I reverted back to the original snapshot if it would also remove all the data from the storage drive as well?

If it does is it just a case of removing the virtual storage drive (will this delete all the data?) and reattaching it after the snapshot has been restored?

The data shouldn't be lost, but then again I can't say that 100%

I would test it for you but I am on the wrong computer.

Apparently all the data won't be lost, I just tried it, however it may mean you have to spend a lot of time reattaching it which could be a pain. For some reason my snapshot seems to be not quite what I thought it was as well... Going to have to do a bit more investigating. :confused:
