Hi all,

Are there any virtual pc apps out there which will allow usb usage of a webcam?

Virtualbox allows you to use any usb device

Yep, it will let connect the physical usb device to a VM, then you can just use your usual software inside the guest OS, nothing extra is required

I had issues with Virtualbox and win 7 64bi, USB devices seemed to "get stuck". VMware Player seemed to work better for me.

Virtualbox was quite hit and miss with usb devices for a while, seems to be working now. Ubuntu host, 7 guest both 64 bit. I can't persuade ubuntu to play nicely with an ipod, but the virtualised windows has no problems with it at all.

The latest version seems to be much better with USB devices - although you need to make sure that you enable it on each VM

VMware worked with me to boot windows from USB.
