Hi,

I want to run a virtualisation of windows xp pro and run some games on it.

Basically there is something i want to run that doesnt run on vista too well and i dont want to partition my hd for a seperate window xp install.

It does require my 4870 gfx card and x-fi soundcard.

is any of this possible?

Generally a dead basic software based graphics adaptor is emulated with Virtualization software. I'm not sure you can bring your Nvidia card into a virtualised instance. The only thing I have seen do that is Bootcamp/Parallells on Mac.

MokaFive LivePC Engine makes use of VMware Player as a virtualization platform, but includes additional features such as automatic updates of virtual machines, streaming and caching of virtual machine images, integrated backup, hardware-accelerated 3D graphics support, and zero install when running from a USB drive.[1]

Hardware-accelerated 3D graphics support. MokaFive LivePC Engine includes support for DirectX 3D programs. The host's graphics adapter is exposed to the guest operating system, so DirectX applications can run full speed.

Can run games pretty well..

Wow I had no idea about MokaFive. I tried to get a VM running a few years ago (Windows 2000) to play an old game I couldn't get working in Vista but I quickly found out about not having the video card limitation.
